Upbeat After Kansas

Hankamp and his JRS Racing Team and Hankamp Racing took to Kansas this week in the AREA iRacing Truck Series. The race was not a popular one in the eyes of most drivers, with many disappointed in the schedule. But the event was entertaining to watch after the trucks found their positioning and started to groove the track.

The 120 lap race was a challenge the whole way for Hankamp and his #67. The pit strategy and the way he attacked the track seemed solid. But in a race full of long runs, he just couldn't reach or maintain the speeds in the Chevy he needed to be a threat at the end. Hankamp ended up finishing in the 21st spot.

But it's not all doom and gloom. In fact, they moved up the point standings to 16th, needing to get to 12th to qualify for the playoffs. Hankamp currently sits 20 points back with 2 races to go, which definitely puts him in the chase. Next week will be huge for Hankamp and the JRS Racing Team. The young team has a chance to end the AREA iRacing Truck Series with a bang and send a message about their core of drivers.
