Solid Finish In The Race Of The Year

The Area iRacing Truck Series ran at COTA on Tuesday and the course provided it's usual excitement. Brian Mercurio held on to the lead after being ran doiwn and challenged all the way to the finish line. Mercurio's defense of the lead was the type of driving that should be in course books. It was probably the most exciting and best finish of the year.

The action wasn't just all at the top though. Jaylen Hankamp and the #67 needed a solid finish to help them in their playoff push. Hankamp ran one of his best races at COTA, staying away from contact and keeping a fast and steady pace throughout. He finished in 10th place, essentially putting him 1 good race or a little help away from the playoffs.

Hankamp ran one of his best races after separating from his former racing team before they exit the business. Hankamp has shown why he and Hankamp Racing be an exciting addition to his next team. The driver has continued to get better and is one of the youngest and most talented up and coming racers, as he's proven in this playoff push.
