Standout Weekends

There were prospects from Michigan stealing the show this weekend! There were so many great performances, both in statistics and in showing off their skills. We're going to give you 6 players that had standout weekends.

Brooklyn Garavaglia (2026, G, Michigan Goonies, Dakota)

Garavaglia has been a player that just keeps getting better. She walked into high school with tons of upside and she continues to make good on the promise her game has always showed. Garavaglia and her Michigan Goonies team were impressive at The Smoke. She had at least 3 games scoring in double figures while also showing her ability to handle the ball and initiate the offense.

Libby Maurer (2026, G, REAL 17u, Ithaca)

Maurer has always been a versatile perimeter player. That being said, she showed that trait this weekend. Maurer both scored and distributed at the event and did so in a very efficient manner. In typical Maurer fashion, she played a mature and heady game that featured her high basketball IQ. She's just an excellent decision maker with the ball.

Jaeda Parish (2027, G, Michigan Cobras, Adrian Madison)

Parish was very impressive at The Smoke. The Michigan Cobras star was very active offensively. She showed that she could score and do it with efficiency. Parish recognized good looks at the rim and converted. On the same token, when the shots weren't there, she found her teammates on time and on target and racked up the assists.

Lucy Young (2028, F/C, Macon Academy 2028, Hackett Catholic)

What do you do to follow up a Central Michigan University offer? Lucy Young dominates grassroots events. She controlled the paint over the weekend. Rebounds, put backs and challenging shots were a regular occurrence. Young also showed off her impressive freedom of movement and her ability to run the floor.

Gia Stojcevski (2028, G/F, Michigan Mystics, Utica Eisenhower)

It seems like people have come to me with high praise for Stojcevski a few times now. She's definitely a young player that I think carries a nice upside. She knows how and when to get a bucket and seems to have a knack for getting and hitting big game buckets.
