Run 4 The Roses - Players To Watch

Run 4 The Roses is a classic event that has a high draw for teams and next level coaches. There will be talent from all over the place with all different skill sets and levels. We're going to look at a few of the talented athletes to watch at Run 4 The Roses this weekend.

Sadie Lampkin (2027, G, Macon 6 Basketball Academy, Marshall)

Macon 6 has been known to develop talent and Lampkin is a prime candidate for that. She should be watched at Run 4 The Roses, that much is for sure. Lampkin has impressive straight line speed with the ball. She can push the pace off the bounce and put pressure on defenders to get back. Lampkin has terrific ball control and creativity when finishing.

Ava McCarthy (2029, G, Team Prime Nation, Eau Claire Memorial)

This up and coming Wisconsin star is certainly a player to watch. McCarthy's strength might be that she has so many strengths. She can be trusted with the ball and with her handles and to get it to it's spots. McCarthy can play off the ball, scoring with a pretty jumper with 3 point range or scoring by attacking double lanes and using her athleticism. McCarthy is strong enough to thrive in a physical game as well.

Carly Meynard  (2026, F, LA United Price, Holy Savior Menard)

We went all the way to Louisiana for this star, but be sure to see her in Kentucky! Meynard is a force in the paint on both ends of the floor. Defensively, she seeks out the block and protects the rim while staying vertical. Meynard earns position on the block or under the rim and gets good looks at the bucket. She's a high percentage scorer that earns high percentage shots.

Madison Spivey (2026, G, Michigan Knights, Detroit King)

Spivey deserves some looks at her game this weekend. Let's start with her defense! She can play nose to nose and lock down. Spivey's feet never stop moving and she keeps a wide base that traps a ball handler in 1 spot. Offensively, she can pull up off the bounce and can make plays on the move.

Ava Tate (2026, F, Swift Elite 2026, Portage Central)

Tate is a player that I've been high on for some time. She's easily a must see senior at Run 4 The Roses! She's a skilled wing that can attack lanes with handles and height. When Tate touches paint, she's both patient and smart with the ball. She can finish athletically off 1 foot. But she will also jump stop and go off 2 feet or use her pivot foot to create space.
