ESPN W has updated it's prospect rankings and there are a few players from Michigan that appear on the lists. We're going to look at the players from Michigan that earned a ranking.
Lilly Williams (2026, F/C, Howell)
Williams checks in at #17 in the rankings. This puts her second among the post players in the list and the second overall prospect in the midwest. Williams is currently committed to Michigan State University. She will be making her debut at Howell High School for her senior season, which is really just a quick run down I96 from her future home court in East Lansing. Williams' addition to an already talented Howell roster, in my opinion, makes them an instant state championship contender.
Sydney Savoury (2027, G, Belleville)
Savoury sits at #15 on ESPNW's class of 2027 prospect rankings. This makes her a 5* prospect. Savoury is ranked #4 among the guards on the list. In my opinion, she has a very legitimate argument to be ranked even higher. Her list of offers backs up that sentiment. Savoury has been reeling in offers from powerhouse programs from coast to coast. She will enter her junior season as the defending Division 1 state championship after leading her Belleville squad to a convincing state title.
Cece Arico (2027, G, Detroit Country Day)
Arico is currently ranked #23 in the country. The tall and long shooting guard is a true student of the game. That's not surprising, given that she is the daughter of University of Michigan Head Coach Barnes Arico. Cece Arico can attack off the wing with athleticism and has a pretty jumper. Her game actually reminds me a ton of her older brother Trevor Arico, who was a star at Saline High School and had some huge scoring games for Emerson College. Her Detroit Country Day team has state title talent heading into next season.
