5 Players To Watch At The Mitten Summer Showdown

It's another LBI staple event here in the state of Michigan with the Mitten Summer Showdown. This will be a 1 day event on July 6 in Mt. Pleasant. We are going to look at 5 players to watch that are scheduled to be at the showdown.

Spencer Davidson (2027, F, Factory Basketball, Woodhaven)

Davidson is a high upside prospect that coaches and scouts will want to focus on. She has core strength and a nice freedom of movement. Davidson can push the pace with an outlet pass directly off a rebound. That being said, she's an intelligent passer that chooses her opportunities wisely.

Samantha Fuhs (2027, F, Always 100 Elite 2027 3SSB, Divine Child)

Fuhs is a relentless worker with a passion for the game. A coach at the next level is going to want that in their program. She's really a unique prospect. Fuhs can defend big and help on D, even swatting shots from behind. Offensively, she can attack matchups with her ability to play with power inside as well as step out and stretch the floor.

Kamaria Lowe (2026, F, Michigan Crossover, Detroit Edison)

Lowe is a next level talent that has seen a couple offers roll in last month. She's much improved with her handles and has done an excellent job being a factor in the open floor. Lowe can finish through defenders with power, but she's also shown that she will slow down and make the finish as easy as possible when the situation fits.

Ella Rizzo (2027, G, Ladies F1rst, Brandon)

Rizzo has had an excellent spring and summer developing her game and seeing on court success. Rizzo is a dangerous shooter off the catch and seems to love to drop dimes out of the corners. Rizzo has done a nice job playing with pace. Speaking of pace, she's much improved with her ability to change speeds with the ball in her hands.

Leigh Wyman (2026, G, Michigan Premier S40 Saldana, Blissfield)

Wyman is definitely a player to watch this weekend. She's very skilled guard that deserves offers. I believe that she can already play at a next level speed. Wyman is fast up the floor with or without the ball. Even better might be that she can speed back on defense and really limit open floor opportunities for her teammates.
