The class of 2026 in Michigan is a special one, there is no doubt about that. They stepped up again last weekend and had excellent performances all over the country. We're going to look at a few of the players from the class of 2026 whose performances stood out.
Lizzie Wolthuis (2026, G/F, MBA GUAA, South Christian)
I've been very high on Wolthuis and her game since the first time I saw her play. She's a tremendous rhythm shooter that doesn't need much time or space to get it off cleanly. Judging by the whispers coming from UAA Session 1, a whole lot of people are seeing the same thing.
Lilly Williams (2026, C, Michigan Mystics P24 Ruh, Howell)
Williams showed just how special of a talent she truly is at the Power 24. She matched up with some elite talent and did nothing but impress. Williams showed that while most players have a move and a counter move mastered, she has multiple ways to get free and get buckets.
Julia Tkaczyk (2026, G, Muchigan Mystics Nationals 2026, Anchor Bay)
I'm going to keep putting her in these articles if she continues to play the way she has for a while now. She caught some eyes and attention at the Jamfest. I've been so impressed by her consistent scoring. Well, guess what? Tkaczyk did it again. She even had a team high 20 points in a tough loss.
Alexis Raska (2026, G, Michigan Mystics 2026 S40, Grand Ledge)
Raska is the type of player that EARNS her points. She's always been tremendously tough to defend off the ball, constantly in motion and making her defender work. Combine that with her ability to find and attack lanes and double lanes, and it's no surprise that she turned heads in Pennsylvania.
Sheridan Beal (2026, G, Michigan Storm, West Bloomfield)
Beal continues to make noise this grassroots season. It's been a really impressive spring so far for this top notch athlete playing for the Michigan Storm. Beal was certainly up to the challenge at the UAA Session 1. She was once again slippery with the ball and managed to get downhill. Beal is a tremendously well conditioned athlete that can put pressure on her opponents with her smooth speed.
