Alesia Ode (F, Saginaw Heritage)
I've always been very high on Alesia Ode as a player and prospect. I have felt, and still feel, like she's easily one of the highest upside prospects in the class of 2026. It will be fun to watch how her and all the young talent at Heritage mesh after another year. There's a lot of really good players in that program with Ode leading the way. She has terrific positional height and length and her freedom of movement is top notch. Her ball skills and ability to attack with both hands help to make her a tough cover
Harper Backus (C, Saline)
Backus had to sit out last year due to a transfer to Saline. A lot of people in the Ann Arbor area have been anxiously awaiting the day that we got to see Backus in the blue and yellow. That day is now oh so close. She steps in as one of the more talented post players in Michigan and will be surrounded by shooters, playmakers and versatile forwards. Backus has the ability to dominate the boards and have her way with defenders when she works off the block with her back to the basket. Her and her Saline team could be an absolute show.
Lyla Valentine (G, Howell)
With the addition of Lyla Valentine and Lilly Williams to an already talented roster, Howell has in my opinion entered the state championship talks. Williams is the best post player in the state regardless of class, and guess what? Valentine is a terrific post feed passer. She has a ton of touch and accuracy feeding the ball to the paint. Like a peanut butter and jelly combination on our hands. Even better yet, Valentine can fill it up from beyond the arc, which in turn will just create more space.
Sienna Slack (G, Traverse City Central)
Slack has the look of an instant impact freshman next season. Her natural feel for the game is beyond her years. Slack is a willing and effective screener and understands movement off that screen. She works really hard off the ball and is always pass ready when and if it gets reversed. Slack finds lanes and space, cuts to it, and makes the defense work and rotate. She's a very talented ball handler that has concise dribble drive moves.
